Green Electricity

Green electricity refers to electricity which has been produced by an environmentally-friendly process. Common examples of this include solar and wind energy.

Some technologies that produce green electricity are criticized for being too large or generally unsightly; nevertheless, this kind of technology continues to develop as the need for it continues to increase. Support for green electricity is now higher than ever before from both the perspective of individuals and governments.

Solar is one of the easiest ways to utilize green electricity if you can afford to have the solar panels installed. These panels require very little maintenance, make no sound, and do not produce carbon emissions or emit any carcinogens into the air.

Whether you choose to install a new solar panel or not, there are steps anyone can take to reduce their environmental impact. While unplugging your phone charger during the day might not be a source of green electricity, per say, it will reduce the amount of electricity you use, and if everyone makes small moves like these, they start to add up and the difference becomes noticeable.
